A short and reasonably easy walk for a leisurely summer’s day. Starting at Staxigoe – out to Sinclair-Girnigoe via Noss Head and back over the nature reserve – See if we can spot some Tysties!

  • 8. Helmsdale to Berriedale
  • 9. Berriedale to Dunbeath
  • 10. Dunbeath to Lybster

  • 13. Wick to Keiss
  • 14. Keiss to John o’ Groats

Status | Green

Walking conditions normal for open hillwalking. No big burns or barbed wire to cross, but may occasionally be rough going.

Status | Amber

Conditions will occasionally be challenging, such as crossing barbed wire fences or fording medium-sized burns.

Status | Red

Conditions will be very challenging, such as wider (6 feet +), deeper (18 inches +) burns or rivers and steep slopes in remote areas.
